Battery Charging

  • When charging indoors, make sure there is adequate ventilation.• When charging indoors, make sure there is adequate ventilation.
  • Before charging the battery make sure to follow health and safety instructions.
  • Unscrew the six plugs on the lid and leave the battery open.
  • Insert in one of the middle holes of the battery a temperature probe with the scale up to 100°C.
  • Use only appropriate charging devices with direct current (DC). First connect the positive terminal of the battery with the positive output of the charging device. Do the same for the negative terminal.
  • Turn on the charger only after connecting to the battery.
  • Recommended charging current: up to 1/10 battery capacity (Ah).
  • Charge battery at 25°C ± 5°C condition. If acid temperature exceeds 55°C stop charging immediately. The process may be resumed once battery in the recharging circuit reaches 35°C or less.
  • The battery is fully charged when acid concentration or battery voltage become stable within two hours and stop increasing. During the two hours inspect three consecutive times at 15 min intervals to ensure the measurements of the voltage, density and temperature is constant. Do not overcharge the battery.
  • Once the battery is charged make sure to first disconnect the charger. Removing the connection in reverse order (Use only appropriate charging devices with direct current (DC). First connect the positive terminal of the battery with the positive output of the charging device. Do the same for the negative terminal.).
  • Screw and tighten the six plugs with a torque key making sure the threads of the plugs are not damaged. The recommended screwing torque is 1.1Nm and this should not be exceeded.
  • Clean the battery surface with a cloth and make sure the surface is dry.
  • Carry out a visual check to ensure that there are no spillages on the battery.

  • The concentration of the acid, in a good battery, must be the equivalent in all 6 cells.
  • When charging the battery, comply with the charger and battery instructions.
  • Maximum permitted tolerance between maximum and minimum measured value of density on the six cells is 0.03 kg/l.

Battery Emergency Start Cables

  • Use only jumper cables in accordance with DIN 72553 and make sure to follow the instructions
  • Use only batteries with the same voltage.
  • Turn off the engines of both vehicles!
  • Connect the first two positive terminals, and then connect the negative terminals of the rescuing vehicle. Finally connect the clamp to a negative point in the engine compartment of the disabled vehicle, away from the battery. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions!
  • Start the engine of the rescuing vehicle, than start the engine of the disabled vehicle for maximum 10 seconds.
  • Disconnect the cables in reverse order.
  • Prolonged non-use of the battery: Either charge the battery and store it in a cool dry place or disconnect the negative terminal in the vehicle.
  • Regularly check the level of charge and if necessary carry out a charging cycle(see Battery Charging).

Battery Emergency Start Cables

  • Use only jumper cables in accordance with DIN 72553 and make sure to follow the instructions
  • Use only batteries with the same voltage.

  • Keep the battery clean and dry.
  • Regularly check (once every three months) the acid level and correct with distilled water. In case of high consumption of water, check the generator regulator!
  • If the concentration of the acid is 1.20 kg/l and or less, fully recharge the battery. In case of spillages on one of the six plugs, substitute it only with a similar threaded plug!
  • Remove the protective cap from the positive terminal of the battery when connecting the clamp and place it on the pole of the uninstalled battery to prevent short circuits.
  • Clean and lightly grease the poles and clamps with terminal grease.
  • When installing the battery, first connect the positive terminal and then the negative one making sure the clamps are securely fastened.
  • Make sure to secure the battery pack with fasteners protecting it from shock and vibrations.
  • Keep the battery clean and dry.
  • Do not incline or turn the battery to avoid electrolyte spillages.
  • Regularly check (once every three months) the acid level and correct with demi water. In case of high consumption of water, check the generator regulator!  If the concentration of the acid is 1.20 kg/l and or less, fully recharge the battery.

Exclusions From Warranty Replacement

a) Normal wear and tear.   b)  Failure to comply with instructions.   c)  Changes to the battery.   d)  Exposure, negligent, improper use and maintenance

Important note! The duration of reachable use is determined in a decisive manner by the time of use, by temperature and by use of the battery. The assessment of a “justified” complaint will be based on these factors.
